Plainville Spring Series #3 & Bethel Spring Series #4

PLAINVILLE

Monty scored a 24th in the Cat4,5 race as he continues to improve. In the Cat3,4 race, Peter F, Jordan and Dillon were out again. This time Jordan got into a great breakaway and it gave Dillon& Pete a chance to play some defense. It wasn't meant to be though as the break would get caught and Jordan would have to settle for a 13th place in the sprint. He did manage to take home the "Most Aggressive" prize for the race.

In the Masters 45+ race, Tom Krol was the sole CCRer and finished 8th in the field sprint. Great job!

In the 123 race, Joe, Tim, Hunter and Jordan lined up in the thinner then usual field. Joe missed the start of the race and would play the role of pit pony for the day, working the front and chasing stuff down. Tim, early on, rode solo off the front for a couple of laps and then was joined by a solid group. That break stayed off the front a decent amount of time and it nearly stuck. Tim grabbed a prime out of the group just as it was apparent that it would be caught. Hunter got into a 3 man break that went from 8 laps to go to 2, leaving Joe and Jordan to set up Tim for the sprint were he took 4th.

BETHEL

Monty gets 21st in the Cat 4 race. Still improving and will get there for sure. Miguel gets 20th place in the 45+ race. He is also improving and is enjoying a great start to the season. In the 123 race, Hunter was active, getting into 2 breaks before settling in for the eventual field sprint. The peleton was surprised by a late, 2 man effort off the front with 5 laps to go. Hunter got boxed in, settling for 19th in the field sprint and 21st overall.
