Joe K takes the win! Here is his race report:
"Here is the race report from Joe KGregg and I suited up for the MTB event today as well. The course was pretty tough I'd say. Tough climbs, some nice tech stuff, some mud, so pretty much everything a MTB race should have. Field sizes were pretty good 25-35 strong. Staging was every man for him self, even tho we were there a bit early I was only able to squeak into 2nd maybe 3rd row. CX style start, fast and furious. I got caught out behind some slower riders and had to fight hard to pass. when I could get by it was full gas to try and bridge up to the next group. I kept at it and managed to catch the leaders about half way through the first lap. Everything was going smooth, no bobbles, crashes, or technical's, everything was just clicking for me. Things were pretty strung out and I could not tell who was who but evidently I had passed the leader about 3/4 into the 1st lap. Not knowing where I was for sure I kept on a hard pace for the remainder of the race. It was not until after I crossed the line when the 2nd place rider came up to me and congratulated me that I knew I had won! It's been a long time since I have stood on the top step....good day!"

Gregg Ferraris had a solid race as well....He took a digger at some point but was able to peel himself out of the dirt, regroup and take ride on to a 7th place finish.
