Stephen Gibertoni got hit with a flat with 3 laps to go. That was well past the free-lap window so he finished much lower down the field than he was hoping for.
Cat 4/5
Stephen was back out as well as Eric Carson and Zac Hawk was out for his 2nd criterium this year. New to the team, Dave Lawlor, was also out. He took top honors among the team guys, finishing 17th. Eric took 21st. Zac and Stephen came through at 41st and 42nd.

This would be Joe K's first of 2 races on the day. The race started out on the slow side, so Joe took a flyer 1\3 of the way in. He got up to 30 seconds ahead on the field before they started to bring him back. The chase would definitely take its toll and gaps opened up as he was being caught by the strongest in the field. A strong counter attack would come, sending one single rider up the road. He would hold that gap all the way to the bell lap. Meanwhile, Joe wisely sat in the field and kept on eye on how the chase was developing. The field timed the catch well, and going through the final corner the lone breakaway rider was only a few meters up the road. Joe had fought hard to stay up front, but out of the way of the direct chase. He jumped hard at the final corner, setting up a super long sprint to the line. He came around the lead with less than 50 meters to spare and took the victory!!! AWESOME JOB JOE!

Masters 30+
Hunter rolled up for race #2 on the day, in this not-so-big field. Everyone stayed together until the mid race prime. Hunter went for it but was out sprinted by a strong NYC rider. After the prime, those 2 kept their head down and rolled away from the rest. The gap was big enough by the final 3 laps for some serious cat n mouse games as the NYC rider refused to pull through. For the final sprint, Hunter started it soon after the last corner. He was passed in the final 15 meters and missed the win by less than a bike length. 1st place for CT finishers though.
PRO 1,2,3
Hunter raced #3 on the day, Joe came back out for his 2nd, and Dave Maynard entered the super fast final men's event. The first 10 laps were fast, with little escaping off the front. about halfway through, with the strongest guys in the field ramping up the pace up front and rolling away, Joe jumped hard for a half lap and latched on to a large group of 15 riders that had a gap. Behind, Dave and Hunter went to the front to try to properly disrupt any sustained chase at the front. The gap to the front went up slowly over the next 7 laps. In the final 10 laps, a strong chase group broke away but not without Dave wisely jumping into it. Up front the first group was breaking up under the pressure of the PRO's and Joe was starting to feel the miles. The chase group Dave was in would up catching the remnants of the lead group and Dave ended up being high finisher for the team at 23rd. Joe rolled in at 31st and Hunter at 39th.
