Cat 2,3
Hunter traveled down to southern NJ as soon as he got back from Vegas to take part in the 76 mile MS Philly to Shore fundraiser ride on saturday. On sunday he lined up at Bryn Athyn College for the cross race. The course here was bumpy, but mostly fast grass with a lot of 180 degree up hill corners and a couple of fast descents. More a power course then a finesse one, Hunter's chances looked pretty good as he started 3rd row in the field of 100. The start was fast as expected, but a couple of minor incidents right away in front of Hunter kept him from hitting the front group. As the laps wore on, Hunter started to fade a bit from all the week's travel and the miles put in on Saturday. He was unable to crack into that super fast top 10 group that always seems to ride away in the Cat 2 M.A.C races, settling for 13th instead. Not bad, but not good enough to get some points to start in a better spot for the October M.A.C races he will be back for.
