Antonio and Bruce lined up for this race. A group of 3 strong riders moved off the front and CCR had to watch that roll away. Antonio had a strong showing in the final sprint, chasing Mike Norton's wheel around the block for the last lap and getting 5th in the field sprint, 8th on the day.

Tim, Joe and Hunter were back for this week's event. The field looked similar to last week's, and it was expected to be fast. Just like last week, early breaks saw a CCR rider in each of them, but nothing stuck. A move of 6 riders or so hovered out in front by about 20 seconds for the middle segment of the race, and that let Joe and Tim get to the front to do some solid pace making. At one point, Joe pulled back 5 seconds on the break over 2 laps. Tim also pulled for multiple laps, ensuring that no bridging efforts would derail the chase. The break was caught with about 9 to go. With 6 to go, a crash in the last corner sent Hunter off the road and into the grass, where he laid the bike down in spectacularly dirty fashion. At least it was very soft grass.... Thank goodness for lots of snow melt. In the commotion of the crash 2 riders went off the front, giving CCNS a chance to play defense for the remaining laps. Joe found Tim's wheel for the last lap, and Tim did a great job of getting Joe into 5th wheel for the final corner. That's were Joe stayed for the sprint. 5th in the field sprint, 7th on the day. A great considering all the work Tim and Joe did. The team rode like it was 6 strong, not just 3. Joe looks strong as ever, Tim has got his new Jamis dialed in, and Hunter's springtime form is the best its ever been.
