Cat 1,2
The race had a good turnout probably about 60-75 starters. It was super super windy.
Hands down one of the windiest days Tim has seen on a bike. On 2 of the small
straights the wind almost completely stopped you, and the crosswind wanted to knock
you off your bike. A break of four went off pretty early including Ernie, one of
the Keoughs (the Kenda 5 Hour Energy one) and 2 other guys. There was a lot of
CCNS guys so they policed the peleton pretty well. There was no reason the
group couldn't have caught the break but given the wind nobody wanted to get in
the front and work and even more frustrating was the slowing of the group due to
an abundance of 6 packs of beer field primes. So in what seems to be Tim's lot in life
this season he just got on the front and hoped some organization would assemble. Of course
none did and he ended up burying himself to get a workout in. With a few laps to go a
small group got and Tim just kept pulling the rest of
the group until they decided it was time to sprint for 20th place or beyond.
