Killington Stage Race

Cat 2

Jordan and Hunter went toe to toe against some of the stronger Cat2's in the nation. The Killington Stage Race is definitely becoming a classic 3-day event.
Circuit Race
Hunter was hit with a flat in the opening 10 miles. After a quick wheel change and 3 miles of hard chasing he was back in the pack. Jordan sat safely in the pack all day, waiting for the TT to do some damage. A race long break was caught with 10k to setting up a sprint finish. Hunter rode the front for the final 5k but some late contact heading into the super fast sprint finish knocked him from his line and out of contention for the sprint.
TT
Both Jordan and Hunter had lack-luster TT's as the headwind and the slight uphill grade made it tough to get into a strong rhythm. Jordan finished at 47th and Hunter at 53rd.
Road Race
Hunter, with nothing to lose, went out early on the attack, trying to get into a move. One rider rolled off as soon as the nutral start ended and it was a race to form a chase group. Hunter got into a a couple of moves but missed the 2 man chase that was eventually allowed to go clear. Jordan sat in, waiting for the brutal finishing climb up to the Killington base area. Once again, the race long break would be caught just before the finish, setting up a crucial last climb. Hunter got shelled early on while Jordan hung tough for a 35th finish which was enough to get him to 34th overall for the entire event. Hunter finished 53rd on GC.
