CCNS Kermis Criterium

Pro 1-3

Hunter headed out Friday night to support the 1st "Kermis" style race in CT. A kermis is a kermis thanks to its longer lap length, technical nature, variations in road types and fair-like atmosphere. The CCNS race had all of that and hopefully it will inspire others to put together non-traditional criteriums. Despite the narrow sections and the crazy cyclocross-like 180 degree tight turn on the backside of the course, meaningful attacks were few and far between all night long. Most races ended in field sprints decided long before the final 200 meters. Hunter got into a couple of moves but was mostly concerned with staying near the front. He got a nice $50 prime with 3 to go and then settled in for the finale. A last lap crash gapped him slightly and by the end he was only able to manage 16th???( waiting for results )
Hunter, waiting up front to see what teams would send guys up the road.
