Lime Rock Cycling Grand Prix

Cat 1,2,3

Hunter & Dillon went out to race the first running of the Lime Rock Crit. Held on the car race track, the course was wide open and fast. A short steep of 50 meters went up and on the other side the same was a very quick downhill. A safe course where it was entirely possible to do a whole race with no braking for the corners needed. In the main event, there was only 15 riders so it was going to be a race of attrition for sure. A group of 4 got off the front but Hunter waited for the the 2 Northampton Cycling Club guys to respond to the move. It ended up being only the 2 of them and Hunter that chased. The break was working well but staying just at the 30 second mark. Ryan Serbel from Uptown Bass had a teammate in the break and sat in the whole ride. At a crucial spot He jumped to make the gap and one of the NCC guys went with. Hunter was left fighting for scraps and he took the field sprint for 7th. Dillon got gapped off the group early on and got some good training in on the way to beating a couple of guys from the field.
