First State Velo Sport Xross - Fair Hill, MD

Cat 2,3

The MAC series took Hunter just over the Deleware state line into Maryland on Saturday for the FSVS Cross race. Here is the report from Hunter:
The race course spanned a relatively tight area around a horse farm. Wide open grass spaces with lot's of small elevation changes. It was really fun. One of the most fun courses I've ever raced on. A decent amount of gradual climbing with a lot of full-speed, fun downhills. Lot's of berms, bumps, and stuff you just wanted to ride faster and faster.
Hunter's Supporters Club was out for the race.

There was a huge crash in the start chute that took out most of the riders from the 2nd row and back. From there it was just trying to chase down and then contain the series leader, Jerry Troiano. Once it was just the 3 of us up front I got caught out after a dab in some loose sand. Between the other 2 guys trying to beat up the other one for the last 2 laps, I was left behind. 3rd place on the day.
