The CCNS Kermis

Cat 3

Dave Maynard and Dillon P made the friday night trip out to "the 'Rent" for the super technical crit. Within the first 3 laps Dave worked his way into a break of 6 riders and it had enough horsepower to march up a gap of about 30-40 seconds. Dillon worked the front of the peleton to try to buffer any huge efforts to chase. With one long lap to go, Dave was just pulling off the front of the rotation as one rider attacked. The response was slow and it allowed the solo rider to take the victory by a large margin. Dave was able to take the group sprint though and takes away second place on the night.

Pro/1-3

Hunter was the CCR rider for the last event of about 35 guys. With a couple of pro's in attendance it was sure to be fast. The speed was nearly 28 mph for the first several laps. Hunter chose carefully where to push his pace and although there were plenty of attacks and short breakaways, nothing really was being allowed to go. With 3 long laps to go, Hunter stayed locked onto a couple of riders going for a prime prize and that turned into a group of 5 off the front. Despite the break going 35mph+ for nearly an entire lap, it was caught and from there, Hunter stayed near the front to finish 16th on the night.
