Quabbin Reservoir Classic Road Race

The team had a solid showing for the second big RR of the season. In the Cat 3 field we had Larry M at 39th. Gregg, in his first race on the road this year at 57th. Dillon hung tough in that race but got dropped on one of the late hills. He ended up being able to "help" Antonio a bit as the Masters 4\5 field caught him. Antonio, after a disappointing Battenkill ruined by untimely mechanicals, finished 44th at Quabbin. Miguel had a tough first road race of the season and toward the back of the 50+ field.

In the Pro-3 event, Jordan, Tim and Hunter rode up front all day long. Tim got involved in a couple of moves, Jordan as well. Nothing stayed off the front for more then a few miles though and the field hit the finishing 2 climbs relatively all together. Hunter closed down a gap to the front of the race on the 2nd to last climb. Tim took advantage and hit the front for the final climb. Tim rode strong up the final climb with Hunter and Jordan also in the top 30 or so. Hunter and Jordan got a little boxed in for the final kick with Hunter finding a late seam to sneak thru to get up to 27th place. Tim was right there at 25th and Jordan was not far behind at 46th.

  1. Nice ride Greg, hanging in there towards the end wasn't easy. Thanks for the gel stuff Dillon, it was gross as to be expected.
